One of the most rewarding aspects of working at eCratchit is that we get to help people accomplish their dreams. When we first heard about Daily Table, we thought the world should also know.
The creation of this company came from the fact one third of this world’s food goes to waste per year. In the U.S alone, about 40 percent of our food gets thrown out.
Doug Rauch is the founder and CEO of Daily Table. He is also the former CEO of Trader Joe’s. Recently, Rauch has been featured on NPR Radio & in Boston Magazine. The idea is to serve nutrient-rich, ready-made meals made with food that’s past its prime. This summer he’ll open a 9,000-square-foot takeout restaurant meets grocery store in Dorchester, utilizing past-sell-date food and excess product from farms and large-scale retailers to help keep costs down.
This is a great step in the right direction. Many more people will be able to afford healthier choices with no excuses.
A great example of our clients doing their jobs because we are doing ours
It seems that Daily Table’s idea had begun to catch on.
