About Them

Founded in 1999 by Paul and Phyllis Fireman and family, One Family was incorporated in 2003 as a nonprofit organization with a mission to end family homelessness in Massachusetts. This mission supports their central belief that no parent and child should be homeless in this state. Our One Family Scholars program supports low-income single parents on their journey out of poverty to economic self-sufficiency through higher education.

One Family Inc. has created a two-pronged, replicable and measurable approach to ending family homelessness in Massachusetts: Systems Change and the One Family Scholars program.
